I've lived in south-central Pennsylvania for around 15 years, prior to that in North Carolina. Professionally, I pursue interests in Website Design, Adult Education and Photography.
I am a county Hazardous Materials Technician-Specialist with Lancaster County HazMat-2 (specializing in things related to WMD and radiological hazards) and Radiological Officer with the Lancaster County Emergency Management Agency. I've been involved with Environment Health & Safety, Emergency Management, Radiological Hazards, Adult Education and Hazardous Materials most of my career.
As a local level instructor for the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, I'm an adjunct instructor for Bucks County Community College, Harrisburg Area Community College and Reading Area Community College for instructing a variety of courses related to safety, radiological, hazardous materials, weapons of mass destruction and terrorism topics.
For relaxation I take walks with my dog (a black lab), write poetry and play a few varied musical instruments — including mountain lap dulcimer, drums (Scottish-Irish and Native American), Native American flute, didgeridoo and jaw harp.
